Course Override

Course override can be performed on menu item level, minor class level or major class level. Menu item will inherit the course provided on minor/major classes. Course specified on major class can be overridden at minor class and menu item level

Purpose

To order an item and have its course automatically set based on major/minor/menu item level.

Scope

The change will affect Avrio and Avrio 4.0

Course Override at Major Class level

Steps:

1. Go to Manager Options > Configuration > Menu > Classes

2. Select Major Class from the list

3. On General tab on the left side, choose course to set. This course will be inherited by all minor classes and the items. Set None to not set the course override. 

4. Click Save. 

Course Override at Minor Class level

Steps:

1. Go to Manager Options > Configuration > Menu > Classes

2. Select Major Class from the list. 

3. Select Minor Class you want to set course override to. 

4. On General tab on the left side, Course will inherit from Major Class if not set. Uncheck inherit checkbox and choose the course from the drop down list. All Menu Items in this Minor Class will this course unless specified. 

5. Click Save. 

Course Override at Menu Item level

Steps:

1. Go to Manager Options> Configuration> Menu> Items

2. Search Menu Item. 

3. Select Item you want to set course override to. 

4. On Misc tab on the left side, Course will inherit if not set. Uncheck inherit checkbox and choose the course from the drop down list. This will override the course specified in Minor/Major classes. 

5. Click Save. 

Test Course Override

To test, start an order and order the item that will have course override. The item should be ordered under the course specified and not under current course.
